This cheese is produced in small batches using only hand-made methods, making it a true artisan product. Dovedale has been awarded a PDO, meaning that it can only be produced in this part of the world, in the Peak District. Matured for 6-8 weeks, the cheese has a sumptuously smooth texture with a delicate creamy blue flavour.

Delivery was swift and on time. I ordered a selection of wedges as I'd not tried this dairy before and I wasn't disappointed. Each cheese has a distinct flavour and texture and, so far, all have been fantastic! The shortest code was just over two weeks, others longer so plenty of time to enjoy them. And there are more to choose from so I guess I'll be back for more!

I ordered cheese for Christmas, and though it was a last minute purchase before it could be posted I was able to order without difficulty. The package came in time too.As for the product, it was the first time I had purchased from Hartington despite wanting to for a while. And I was not disappointed. The cheese was very tasty and uniquely flavoured. It is only a matter of time before I purchase again via post or making a trip to the shop.
