About Our Cheese

Typically, we can only put a maximum of 28 days on our wedges from when they are cut. All wedges will have a guaranteed minimum of 7 days from delivery. Our flavoured blocks will have a minimum Best Before Date of 14 days from delivery. This does not apply to discounted items clearly labelled as short-dated.

We always suggest keeping your cheese in a cool environment, preferably a fridge, wherever possible. But we know you may be travelling to visit friends and family, so for short periods of time, your cheese will be perfectly fine out of the fridge.

This is due to the salt content in the cheese, which minimises the risk of harmful bacteria forming on the cheese. If your cheese does become a little warm, pop your cheese back into the fridge until it is needed. But we do always recommend letting your cheese get to room temperature before eating, to experience the best flavour profile.

Yes all of our cheese uses Vegetarian Rennett and we are certified by the Vegetarian Society as being VegSoc Approved.

Yes all of our cheese is made with pasteurised milk, however we would recommend avoiding our blue cheese if you are pregnant.

Yes! You can freeze our wedges for up to 3 months without affecting the taste or texture! For our larger cheese, we suggest you cut these into smaller portions and wrap them in cling film or foil. Our waxed pebbles can be frozen for up to 12 months!

For defrosting, you should take it out and pop it in the fridge for about 24 hours before you need it, and for the best flavour, you should leave this to warm up at room temperature.

We make our cheese in our own Creamery on the historic Pikehall Farm, near the village of Hartington, we are in the Derbyshire Dales part of the Peak District Park.

Yes, all of our cheese and the ingredients used in our blends are gluten-free. However, some of the Chutneys we sell are not Gluten-Free, and the biscuits are not gluten-free. The ingredients for the cheese and chutneys are available here.

Buying Online

If you have selected, the 1-3 days standard delivery, our team aims to dispatch your order within 1-3 days. You will receive all the dispatch and tracking notifications so you can keep up to date with this.

We can deliver your order to any one address in the UK, including the Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands including Guernsey and Jersey, plus Isles including Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Isle of Scilly.

All our parcels require a signature and parcels containing alcohol must be signed for by someone over 18 years of age.

We use eco-friendly HexcelPack™, which unlike polymer-based packaging materials, is 100% curbside recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable. The Ultra-Stretch™ technology provides greater protection for your products and can be disposed of in an environmentally and socially responsible way, by simply recycling the material.

We also use Protega Void-Fill, this unique paper voidfill does not ‘settle’ in transit meaning your products are less vulnerable to damage throughout the courier networks. Our paper packaging comes from sustainable sources, and we maximise the recycled paper content of our products.

Lost your password? No problem, simply click ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen. You will need to provide your email address and you will receive a link to create a new password via email.
If on the rare occasion you receive a damaged or missing item from your order, we will offer a refund or we will offer you a voucher code which will exceed the value of the missing or damaged items. Due to the high cost of shipping our policy is not to replace the item except in the case of a total loss of parcel.

In the event we need to refund you for any reason you please email us and our dedicated customer service team will process this.

To use your voucher codes, simple enter these in to the ‘Coupon Code’ box from the basket page.
Only one voucher code can be used per order placed.
Yes, we use the Braintree Gateway to process all of our payments. Your card details are only entered into the secure Braintree or Paypal website and we do not store any payment details on our own web site. Please note you can use PayPal or Credit/Debit cards with our Integrated Braintree System.
