Shropshire Blue Cheese Half Moon 1kg
Our traditional Shropshire Blue is made at our Hartington Creamery using locally sourced, Derbyshire pasteurised milk. This beautiful cheese has an orange colour due to the natural annatto colouring we add into it, with contrasting deep blue veining. This has a natural rind and matures for around 10–12 weeks, producing a soft textured creamy cheese with a sharp, strong and tangy flavour.
A great cheese to crumble into salads, eat with figs and fruit and enjoy with port and red wines.
When you are looking for a real party pleaser and a centre piece, you need one of our half moon Cheeses. The half moons are all typically 1kg each and they cut down from our 8kg whole cheese.
Remember you can freeze our cheese, portion it up, wrap it in film and freeze it for up to 3 months.
