Spirit of Eyam – Black as Death – Dry Gin
Made by the multi-award winning distillery, Cuckoostone in Derbyshire
Black as Death refers to the Bubonic Plague which struck the village of Eyam in 1665. The villagers are world famous for locking down their village sacrificing themselves to saving the surrounding villages from the plaque. This gin is made in batches of 50 in a pot still. The dark colour comes from infusing Butterfly Pea Flowers and Hibiscus Blossom for several weeks.
